This page explains what the Nardi ObGyn website collects and how that information is handled.
Scope of this notice
This notice covers the Nardi ObGyn website only. It does not cover the clinical records held by the practice, which are managed in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles, and applicable Tasmanian health records legislation. Please ask reception if you would like a copy of the practice’s clinical privacy policy.
What the website collects
There are two ways the website collects information:
- Enquiries you submit through the contact form. When you complete the form on the Contact page we receive: your name, the email address and/or phone number you provide, the reason you have selected, your preferred contact method (if you select one), and the content of your message. This information is emailed to reception so that the practice can respond to you. It is not stored in a database on the website and is retained only inside the reception mailbox.
- Basic visit statistics. The website records when pages are viewed so the practice can understand how the site is used (for example, which pages are most visited). These records contain the page address, the date and time, an approximate referrer, and a one-way hashed value derived from your IP address that changes daily. They do not contain your name, email, or any health information, and they cannot be used to identify you.
What the website does not do
- It does not collect or store any clinical or medical information.
- It does not set marketing or advertising cookies.
- It does not share information with third-party analytics or advertising services.
- It does not sell or rent any personal information.
Hosting and email delivery
The website is hosted on the practice’s own web hosting service
(GoDaddy). Standard server logs (including IP address and request
details) may be created during normal operation. Contact-form
enquiries are delivered via the practice’s own
reception@nardiobgyn.com.au mailbox over SMTP — no
third-party email API is involved.
The website may also load map images from Google Maps on the home and Locations pages so that you can view the addresses of the practice sites.
Access, correction, and complaints
You can ask to access or correct any personal information we hold about you, or raise a privacy concern, by contacting reception at reception@nardiobgyn.com.au . If you are not satisfied with how a concern is handled, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Updates
This notice may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in how the website operates. The latest version is always available at this page.
